Roberto Fara is a Executive Creative Director / Designer with over 20 years of experience in Design, Art Direction, Brand Design, User Experience, Product Design and Advertising.
He is passionate about the integration of graphic, interactive and product design into a single discipline. Connecting the design to strategic and conceptual thinking enables Roberto to design experiences for brands, campaigns, products or services.
He has led and built Design teams, head up Departments, run his own company, created awarded campaigns for Audi, P&G, Nike or Microsoft before he got hired by R/GA NY to lead design and creative efforts for Converse, Samsung, Google, Nike or Coca-Cola among others. At R/GA, he is probably one of the most respected and rounded design professional, working closely with Nick Law, Richard Ting, Chloe Gottlieb and the R/GA Leadership.
Now at R/GA he is Executive Creative Director & Group Head of Design, combining Visual and Experience to run the Group for Samsung Global and US, Johnson & Johnson, Mercedes Benz and Equinox alongside Emmy-awarded SVP ECD, Head of Creative North-America, Chris Northam and Eric Jannon.
As ECD / Group Head of Design, he is responsible for the design discipline, team members and design work in the group. In collaboration with the team and designers, he ensures the quality of the concept and the work produced, in addition to partner with Resourcing, Production, Account, and other senior leaders to drive operational effectiveness for the creative team. He oversees client business with revenue up to $70MM.
He is also responsible for the creative strategy and general direction of the work. Remains constantly aware of new development within the industry to better service the client and maintain current and new business. Also assists in managing the group and helps ensure the growth of individuals in the Design Team.
Roberto has built and managed the design and digital discipline from scratch in a Group before focused in traditional and integrated campaigns. He reports to EVP Global Chief Experience Officer + US Chief Creative Officer, Richard Ting and SVP ECD Head of Creative, Ben Williams.
His work has been showcased and recognised internationally in different Festivals and Awards, and he is often invited to share his passion for art, technology and design.
